1) Assistant Manager

Responsibilities

• HR: Assist in recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling and disciplining restaurant staff; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise, and review job contributions; enforce policies and procedures.

• Operational: Contribute to strategic plans and reviews; prepare and complete action plans; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; complete audits on outlet’s standards and policies; determine system improvements; use equipment maintenance schedules and arrange for repairs; assist the RM to purchase or requisition supplies and equipment needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services.

• Financial: Assist the RM in forecasting staff, equipment, and supply requirements.

• Customer service: Ensure that each customer consistently receives high quality food service; respond to any customer complaint to gain positive reviews and/or feedback.

• Health & Safety: Help to maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing safety and sanitation standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations; secure revenues; implement first aid and disaster plans.

• Quality Assurance: Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, and monitoring food presentation and services in accordance with VeganBurg’s standards.

• Sales: Through promotions, community outreach and a sales-focused mindset, meet and exceed monthly sales goals.

• Reporting: Prepare for, attend and assist RM in weekly operations meetings; assist RM with monthly stocktaking and reporting.

Qualifications:

• At least 2 years Restaurant Management/Assistant Management experience.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Charismatic with the soft skills to deal with all personality types.

2) Kitchen Lead

Responsibilities

• Responsibly open the store during opening shifts and close the store during closing shifts. Maintain complete awareness and accountability, ensuring the upmost safety and privacy of safe and store access.

• Receive inventory and compare invoices to order, checking for accuracy, entering new inventory into POS backend and signing off when done.

• Working independently, perform opening and closing procedures as per Shift Lead Travel Paths and ensure that all duties are completed by team prior to shift handover.

• Acting as MOD in the absence of a manager conduct shift briefings with restaurant team, setting daily goals and objectives.

• Prepare food as indicated in Daily Food Prep Charts during opening and mid-shift; ensure that all food prep is fulfilled prior to shift handover.

• Perform daily stocking and stock counting in accordance with BOH Daily Stocktaking List.

• In accordance with VeganBurg training materials, ensure that each customer consistently receives high-quality food service through the prompt execution of:

a) Order receiving

b) Food preparation

c) Product presentation

d) Order delivery to customer

• Perform exceptional customer service by engaging the customer in the dining room by asking about their food quality and experience.

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following sanitation standards and procedures as indicated in VeganBurg training materials.

• Provide flexibility to allow for filling-in/transitioning to other store positions as needed.

Qualifications

3) Crew

FOH Responsibilities

• In accordance with VeganBurg training materials, ensure that each guest consistently receives high-quality customer service through the execution of:

a) Order taking

b) Cash handling and payment processing

c) Product upselling

d) Order delivery to customer, including customer engagement

• Greet every customer as they enter the store and thank them as they leave.

• Respond to any customer enquiry or issue and/or seek on-duty manager assistance to gain positive feedback.

• Ensure a positive customer experience by maintaining a clean dining room, counter area and customer bathroom as indicated in VeganBurg training materials and cleaning schedules.

BOH Responsibilities

• In accordance with VeganBurg training materials, ensure that each customer consistently receives high-quality food service through the prompt execution of:

a) Order receiving

b) Food preparation

c) Product presentation

d) Order delivery to customer

• Assist in the production of food preparation as indicated in Daily Food Prep Charts during opening and mid-shift.

• Monitor food presentation and maintain a clean kitchen area and cleaning schedule.

All Station Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following sanitation standards and procedures as indicated in VeganBurg training materials.

• Assist in opening/closing procedures.

• Perform daily stocking and stock counting in accordance with daily stocktaking lists.

• Provide flexibility to allow for filling-in/transitioning between FOH & BOH positions as needed.

• Customer service: Ensure that each customer consistently receives high quality food service; respond to any customer complaint to gain positive reviews and/or feedback.

• Health & Safety: Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing safety and sanitation standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations; secure revenues; develop and implement first aid and disaster plans.

• Quality Assurance: Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, and monitoring food presentation and services in accordance with VeganBurg’s standards.

5) Shift Lead

Responsibilities

• Responsibly handle cash floats, ensuring safe access is not shared with anyone other than Leads and Managers.

• Receive inventory and compare invoices to order, checking for accuracy and signing off when done.

• Working independently, perform opening and closing procedures as per Shift Lead • • Travel Paths and ensure that all duties are completed by team prior to shift handover.

• Acting as MOD in the absence of a manager, conduct morning huddles to set daily objectives and expectations.

• Perform stocktaking and make new orders/adjustments to orders as indicated in Travel Path.

• Ensure that each customer consistently receives high-quality food service; respond to any customer complaint to gain positive reviews and/or feedback.

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by following and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures; comply with legal regulations and secure revenues.

• Maintain ambiance by controlling lighting, background music, and monitoring food presentation and service.

• Drive sales through upselling and seasonal promotions.

• Follow House Rules at all times and ensure that Warriors on your shift do the same.

6) Cleaning and Prep Janitor

Responsibilities

• In accordance with daily food prep charts and VeganBurg recipe book, assist in the production of food preparation.

• Per cleaning schedules and manager directives, maintain the cleanliness of both BOH, FOH, store entrance, backyard and employee & customer bathrooms; including but not limited to dishwashing and deep cleaning of equipment, surfaces, floors and walls.
